We had a great week this week for the band! After our great Speak EZ show on April 2nd, we took that energy and hit the studio at Amber Lit Audio! It was great to work with Matt Ten Clay again on some new tunes!
Crazy enough, the power went out on the whole street during one of our takes! Luckily, progress made up until that point was saved, and we will be setting up another studio session soon to get some more recordings in.
Then, last night on WGVU's Saturday Night Blues Hour, we joined host Greg Bluben for an hour of local, live blues to promote the Local Blues Matters fundraising event at Billy's Lounge next week on April 16th! We are joining some great local groups (Hank Mowery, Jimmy Stagger) to provide some great blues leading up to the headliner, Larry McCray! The tunes featured on the broadcast including a trio version of "The Otherside" off our album a new tune created on the spot (dedicated to Rockford resident Jenna Hansen), and a version of "Pack Up and Leave" performed by Hannah Rose, Justin Wierenga (guitar), and Dutcher Snedeker (melodica).
We'll have the links/content posted to the site soon from the session as soon as it's made available. Thanks for everybody who tuned in and for everyone who supports the local music scene in West Michigan!
